Rhythm of Life-Music

Hi all,

I am right now listening soundtracks from Wake up Sid. Each one is awesome, somehow depicting the rhythm of life. They have all emerged from sargam. Yet they are so different, each one so special and touching in its own characteristics. They make us smile, we feel great.
I feel each of us like these different songs, each of us are having an unique rhythm of life. Just like a lyrics needs its own note and music only then it becomes a nice song, each one of us needs its unique rhythm and that would make life as musical as those songs. Then, the journey of our own life would give us the heavenly pleasure which we feel while listening to a nice song. Now, think what makes a perfect duet ;)

India just 2 Hops away from being World Champion

Hi all,

Oh.. what a match! I can still remember it was run a ball game and Dhoni went to the pavilion after playing consecutive suicidal shots. Immediately comments like "DHONI must take a lesson from his Australian counterpart...", "end of India's journey", "It is now very far!!!!!" flashed in my Facebook wall. But, Raina! what a man.. stood rock solid against the kangaroo attack. Yuvi was terrific. The prologue was meticulously written by the GOD, Sachin himself, Gambhir, Kohli Yuvi all completed the story nicely. It was the epilogue which we were waiting for. Dhoni and Yuvi was the chosen one for that stage of game. But, it was Suresh Raina who took the real responsibility of taking Brett Lee and co. and took the control of the match. Yuvi-Raina's knock made it one of the best sellers of world cricket. This Indian team has beaten Australia in the quarter final. Their confidence must be so high. Its time to white wash Pakistan in Semis. I am seeing the bull's eye, Indian team posing towards the world with ICC World Cup 2011 in hand :)
Go India Go! The Indians have started seeing the big dream... dream of being World Champion again....

A Handful of Colors in the Campus

Holi hai ... and dust of colors spreading in the air, making all of us more and more colorful. My face changes from dark black to dark green and at last the the Avatar look. My whole body is colored with a fantastic mixture of blue and green and people shouting all around. Such a delighted way of some young people enjoying with each other. Dancing in the mud, all forcefully being stretched in the mud, tearing the clothes and of course lots of mastis ;)

Particularly holi in iit has something more to enjoy than any other place. Hostel life, friends all around and you have so many friends with diverse cultures. It makes it a perfect place for a festival like holi where all the seven colors prevail together. I have seen so many different colors in the air as well as in the faces of my all friends here and most importantly they are all colors of happiness and joy.

Of course, the Gala Lunch in hostel mess and a nice conversation on Punjabi foods and cultures make it as one of the best holi i ever had. These surely, have colored the scrapbook of my entire life....I am loving the life at IIT Bombay, happy holi to all of youuuuuu... :)

Epsilon pagerank to Epsilon

I just found a nice online game on wormhole and could not stop posting it in my blog. These kind of games are necessary to keep me awake when I am doing project work for a long time. The game is named epsilon. I am sure this blog post will add epsilon pagerank to epsilon :)

Don't watch Tanu weds Manu!

Delhi waale manu (full name Manoj Sharma- madhavan), comes back to to India after 12 years to marry an Indian girl :) The guy is a bit extra gentleman type and well established doctor in London. On the day of reaching India, went to see a Kanpuria girl named tanu (full name Tanuja Trivedi- Kangana). Both the sides have given their consent to the marriage, only "ladka ladki ek dusre ko dekhne waale hai". The guy fall in love. Sounds good, but the girl is as expected has a boyfriend who is "awaara gunda" type. Wohi sari huyi ghisi piti hindi cinema. At some time, I thought this one has something special, but the poor dramatic ending with Jimmy Shergil's non-sense dialogue delivery makes it one of the worst movie in the decade.

Nevertheless, madhavan was quite well in his acting, though the character never suits him. He is better in a role with cool attiudes, like RDB or RHTDM type. I don't realize how he had chosen this role. He happens to be very comfortable with his acting, but this storyline is dead like hell. Kangana seemed very comfortable and good looking too, for the first time but I am waiting for the day when Kangana comes as something other than"daaru pine waali ladki". Kangana, please for god sake, take a break from that character.

There is nothing more to talk about this movie. It is advised not to watch this movie, better wait for the next releases.

ICC World Cup 2011 reveals new trends in ODI cricket

World Cup at its best. Every single ball counts, matches becoming more and more interesting and underdogs are firing bullet shots all over the ground. The notion of good teams, bad teams has been blurred, traditional cricket is stabbed by special pitches, mediocre bowling. Seems like I am watching baseball version of cricket. bowlers have nothing to do than to toss a coin. If the bat misses the ball he is hero else the ball goes to stands. Perhaps, it would not be unjustified to perceive that world cup 2011 officially declares a new era of world cricket, highly modified and influenced by 20-20 format of cricket.

If you are not convinced yet think from the point of view of that poor captain who has to decide who is to bowl next when 6 balls are left and 6 more runs to score. Obviously, it would have been a close match in say ICC world cup 1996 but today its simple equation. It is not hard to speculate today that the guy standing in the crease will swing the heavy wooden bat, if by chance it hits the ball once in multiple swings, match is over, so all the cricketing skills of the bowling have become obsolete as there is hardly anything you can expect from the pitch. After today's match where 296 is termed as not at all a good score, I am suddenly awake. what has happened to the game of cricket. Bowlers have hardly any respect, only yorkers still have some faith on it , others have faded away. Also, I doubt if the next generation bowlers would ever learn any bowling skills if the trend goes on like this. I strongly criticize the kind of pitch prepared in Indian subcontinent. This is spoiling the cricket, making it more interesting and eventful. Obviously if a batsman strikes it out of the ground, it is far more amusing than a quality in-swinging delivery, we are using this fact only. But, I think if we make it a batsman's game, something will be lost which will be hard to get back.

The Poetic Mind

Peeping out of my window I look at the sky
its full of clouds and birds are flying,
it brings to the life my poetic mind
deep in my heart that lives inside,
where soul is buried deep under the grave
i feel its presence, all its grace,
i keep myself busy in digging the soil
my mind is agile but kept in a foil,
i have the hope to rescue my soul
amidst so many dead who smell so foul,
like in a old church a lonely priest stays
my heart is temple, my soul there lays,
bells will be rung church will be lit
there will be enlightenment when we meet,
Sooner or later the day will come
the grave will be open my mind will be calm...

Kevin O'Brien broke the British Castle with six Sixes

Ireland has beaten England in the land of India. No no, I am not at all making any active passive mistake and also not drunk. Ireland, the name which many of us might ask a question about who the hell allowed them to enter into world cup cricket, has beaten England that too in the land which England had ruled for nearly 200 years. Today the Irish ship sailed without fear, to break the giant castle built by Trott and Bell. Kevin O'brien was the captain of that ship. Sailors were few tail ender batsmen. It was a target of 328, unbreakable and if broken then a new world record. But, I guess Kevin does not know language of statistics. So, he does not understand what all this statistics mean. He knows the language of boundaries and sixes and that is what was being displayed for nearly 10 overs. 50 balls, 100 runs as simple as that. Who says it is the fastest hundred in the history of World Cup, forget it, see six sixes, 13 boundaries, balls coming the slayer disappearing them to the spectators these worth more than mere figures. If Kevin started showing the dream of beating England then I must say Cusack, Mooney all believed it. Yes, the belief that Ireland can beat England and can chase 328, was the fuel and England was burnt in it. By the way, I must say if Irish believed it, then they should thank Strauss, who was blind in the field. He was spectating the match and praying that something happens. But, nevertheless, I have no intent to snatch the glory of Irish team. Go and have a lot of beverages, today is the day of glory for you guys.. Kevin you have made a history and we are glad to see you in the field :)
